How to Become Creative and Inspired in Just Five Days
Smartphone Photography Challenge
Have you ever wondered what you and your smartphone camera can create together if you just knew your camera a little bit better?
Last week 189 people found out!
The Photography Playground was hosting its very first Smartphone Photography Challenge and we had a wonderful, inspiring and most of all creative experience together. All the magic happened in the Facebook Group. That’s where all the creativity and inspiration was floating around!
It was five days full of tips, valuable information and photo prompts! People were challenged to push their creative boundaries, they were motivated to try out something different and in some cases to step out of their comfort zone.
Making Room for Beauty
I actually don’t have a lot more to say so I’m going to step back and make room for some of the beauties that were created during the challenge.
The first prompt was to make a Self-portrait with Phone. For some people, this was a big step out of their comfort zone. Taking a selfie doesn’t come naturally to all of us. But it was so great to see that they did it anyway!
Looking for a View
Day two people were looking for A Window with a View to make a frame in a frame. It was so great to see the diversity and inventive creativity that can come out such a seemingly simple prompt.
Day three was about finding beauty in the smallest of things by Getting as Close as you Can. We walk past the little things so often without noticing them. But there is touching beauty to find in the details of life!
The Biggest Challenge
Day four turned out to be the most challenging prompt of them all: Still life in the Dark. But it resulted in some great photos. Of course, photography is all about light. But it doesn’t need that much to make an interesting photo once you’ve learned how to work with the light that is available to you.
Who Do You Love
Our last day was all about Who or What Do You Love and it was a very joyful day.
Although I was a little sad that the challenge was over. It was an amazing experience and an inspiration for me as well!
I want to thank everybody who participated!
Every day I was amazed by the inspiring, supportive and creative community that grew over those five days. It confirmed my belief that there is creativity in everyone. It just needs some motivation and inspiration to manifest itself! That is what the Photography Playground is all about! It was an inspiration for me as well to be surrounded by this wonderful community!
During those five days, hundreds of photos were posted in de Facebook Group. It is impossible to show them all. I Picked out a few to show you what you can achieve in only five days. To show what you and your smartphone camera could create together! To motivate you to see that beauty is everywhere!
